Data security
Field measurements, business records, and the figures behind a model are kept for that piece of work. Where they sit, who can open them, and what happens afterwards are part of the written scope.
The record sits in PostgreSQL on Google Cloud or AWS, in the account agreed for that work.
Access is limited to the people building and checking that system. The data is not reused for another client, and it is not used to train a model.
Connections to the database and to the system we deliver run over TLS. A report or alert goes out by email or WhatsApp only when the scope says it should.
The data is handed back or deleted. That choice is written down before development starts, and working copies are removed with it.
Personal information, including a quote request, is handled under the Protection of Personal Information Act. It is kept to reply, and to do the work you agree.

At GEOTEC Analytica we build custom analytics and geospatial systems based on client requirements.
We have a skilled data scientist and GIS specialist (MSc) with more than a decade of experience in a wide range of sectors: agriculture, finance, research, forestry, wildlife, and retail.
Analysis and modelling are done in Python and R. When a system needs an interface, it is built in JavaScript, HTML, React, and Next.js. Spatial work runs in Google Earth Engine, with data held in PostgreSQL on Google Cloud or AWS. Reports and alerts reach clients on WhatsApp through Twilio or via email. However, differing client requirements can be accommodated.
We are based in the Cape Winelands of the Western Cape, South Africa. We keep South African Standard Time (SAST, UTC+2, all year). Work is arranged in writing, so a quote stays clear wherever you are based.
